The solar power supply project of Quang Binh province has a total investment of USD 13.783 million from Official Development Assistance (ODA) capital of the Korea Economic Development Co-operation Fund (EDCF) and corresponding capital of the government of Vietnam.

It includes seven bid packages, of which the two largest bid packages are the package No.7 (construction and equipment) and the package No. 02 (project consulting, construction supervision and training on technology transfer).

As of late June of 2016, the project is conducting power grid in 10 communes of the project areas in Bo Trach, Minh Hoa, Quang Ninh and Le Thuy districts.

At present, the project management board has checked and taken over the works under the contract with a cost of USD 1 million out of USD 7.2 million in total.

According to the capital plan for 2016, the project has so far disbursed VND 9.8 billion out of 52.1 billion in total.

At the meeting, representatives of units, localities and contractors focused discussion on the causes of the slow progress of the project and also offered some solutions and commitments to accelerate the project implementation in the comming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee asked the project management board and contractors to accelerate the implementation progress of the package No.7, quickly adjust the project's dossier according to the regulation and signed contract, and supervise and speed up contractors to ensure the progress and quality of the project.
