Quang Binh, VASCO discuss to increase flights from Quang Binh to Hanoi

 (Quang Binh Portal) - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People"s Committee Tran Tien Dung on March 30 had a meeting with the Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO) under the Vietnam Airlines to discuss on increasing flights from Quang Binh to Hanoi in the coming time.

The meeting was attended by representatives of related departments, including Planning and Investment, Finance, Tourism and Transport, the Office of the Provincial People's Committee and Dong Hoi Airport.
VASCO is a fully owned subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines that began scheduled passenger flights independently in 2004.

In three beginning months of 2017, the company operated 87 flights from Quang Binh to Hanoi, reached 81-82% of its capacity. In the coming time, the company will consider to increase night flights from Quang Binh to Hanoi, aiming to serve the increasing demands of traveling.

At the meeting, representatives of related departments discussed to solve difficulties in infrastructures, flight frequency, quality of services, flight schedule, office headqaurter, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee thanked VASCO for its assistances in the past time. Vice Chairman stressed Quang Binh gives a priority to investment in tourism development, striving to bring tourism to become a top destination, contributing to attract domestic and foreign visitors to Quang Binh.

In order to meet the passengers's demand for traveling in general and visitors in particular, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee asked VASCO to set up the plan to increase more flights from Quang Binh to Hanoi in the lastest time.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Vice Chairman committed the province will create favorable conditions for VASCO in the process of implementation.
