Receiving the SEEDS Scholarship Program to sponsor pupils and students who have the difficult circumstances in the province

(Quang Binh Portal) - That is the information in Decision No. 3798 / QD-UBND dated on October 7, 2019 on approving and receiving of foreign non-governmental aid funded by Pacific Links Foundation.

Accordingly, the SEEDS Scholarship Program of Pacific Links Foundation will be implemented in 2019-2020 in Tuyen Hoa, Bo Trach, Le Thuy and Dong Hoi city. The total expenditure for implementation is VND 2,439,140,000, of which the capital grant aid financed by Pacific Links Foundation is VND 2,217,400,000 and reciprocal capital from the provincial budget is VND 221,740,000.

The objective of the program is to help pupils and students having the difficult circumstances in the province minimize the risk of dropping out of school, improve the quality of studying, equip essential life skills and raise their awareness of future jobs. The main activities includes: Providing scholarships in cash or presents for them to serve their studying activities.

The Provincial People’s Committee requested that during the implementation of the project, the related parties should follow the approved contents, avoid activities beyond the approved scope.

The Provincial Study Encouragement Association is responsible for presiding over and co-coordinating with related units and localities in effectively receiving and using aid capital sources in compliance with the State's regulations on management and use of foreign non-governmental aid and other regulations.
