US Ambassador to Vietnam exchanges with students and lecturers of Quang Binh University

 (Quang Binh Portal) - The United States Ambassador to Vietnam Ted Osius on January 29 had an exchange with students and lecturers of Quang Binh Univeristy. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People"s Committee Tran Tien Dung attended the exchange.

This was a part of the over 600km bicycle trip “US – Vietnam: A New Journey” from Hanoi to Hue, aiming to promote the Viet - US friendship of the US Ambassy in Vietnam.

During the past years, Vietnam and US have exchanged educational programmes, creating conditions for students to improve knowledge and share culture, contributing to boost relationship between the two countries.

At the exchange, US Ambassador to Vietnam affirmed cooperative relation between Vietnam and US, especially obatined achievements after nomalizing the diplomatic relations between the two countries. He also expressed his pleasures to visit Quang Binh University, the sole university of his cycle tour.

Besides, the ambassador also answered questions of students about training opportunities and challenges of Vietnamese students when studying in the United States.

The US Ambassador to Vietnam also shared the plan of the US diplomatic delegation about giving the top priority for educational exchanges, promoting studying English and scholarship programmes of US in Vietnam.

Earlier, The US Ambassador to Vietnam Ted Osius had paid a visit to the world natural heritage site, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. The ambassador shared his feelings and good impression on the unique beauty of the world's largest cave system and the diversity of flora and fauna sytem in the "Kingdom of Caves".
