According to the Quang Tri Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province welcomed an estimated more than 5.64 million visitors in the first six months of 2026, generating approximately VND 6.486 trillion in tourism revenue. With the goal of developing tourism into a key economic sector in a sustainable manner, the launch of the new air routes is considered an important solution to expand the tourist market, particularly key domestic and international markets with high spending potential. Through the two aviation gateways of Hanoi and Cam Ranh, Quang Tri will be better positioned to connect with international markets such as China, South Korea, India, Russia, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
