Receive 62.422 USD from international aids to support landmine victims

(Quang Binh Portal) - The Provincial People"s Committee on September 29 approved Decision No.2673/QD-UBND on receiving a non-governmental aid from the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL) and Cluster Munition Coalition (CMC).
Accordingly, the ICBL-CMC donates Quang Binh province to conduct the project of promoting the implementation of model for community-based comprehensive functional rehabilitation with a total expenditure of 62.422 USD.

The project's objective is to foster implementation of model for community-based comprehensive functional rehabilitation in Quang Binh province, helping the persons with disabilities and landmine victims improve their lives.

The project will focus on breeding, organizing training courses on comprehensive functional rehabilitation for the persons with disabilities, improving awareness and having a check-up of reprodcutive health for 40 disabled women, establishing 03 self-reliant club for the disabled people.

In addition, the project will also provide a finanical support for the disabled people and landmine victims to develop economy and improve their lives, helping them integrate into the community.

The Provincial People's Committee also decided to assign the Association for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (AEPD) as an investor.
