Receive foreign non-governmental aid from East Meets West
(Quang Binh Portal) - The Provincial People"s Committee approved Decision No.3140/QD-UBND on receiving foreign non-governmental aid from the East Meets West Foundation (EMW), helping poor students in the province to school.
Accordingly, the EMW will donate USD87,692 to implement the program to help poor students to school in the districts of Le Thuy, Bo Trach, Tuyen Hoa and Minh Hoa, including USD79,720 is from the support of EMW and USD7,972 is from the corresponding capital of the provincial budget.
Poor students will be granted scholarships in kind, including books, notebooks, cloths, studying aids, bicycles, insurance, etc.
The program will be carried out from June of 2016 to June of 2017.
The Provincial People's Committee asked the Provincial Study Promotion Association and related units and localities to receive and use source of capital effectively in accordance with the State's regulations on managing and using foreign non-governmental aid and others.
