In 2019, FDI projects contribute to the State budget an estimate of 8.75 million USD
(Quang Binh Portal) - Currently, there are 23 FDI projects in the province granted investment certificates with a total registered capital of 783,512 million USD, of which 09 investment projects have been officially put into operation, 10 projects are being constructed, 02 projects are being set up investment plan, 02 projects are temporarily suspended.
In 2019, FDI projects have disbursed about 15.5 million USD; cumulative disbursement from the beginning of the project until now is about 565 million USD. Production and business activities of the projects have put into operation with revenues estimated at over 250 million USD; they create jobs for 1,465 employees and contribute to State budget an estimate of 8.75 million USD.
However, in general, the economic efficiency brought by FDI investors is not high, the proportion of contribution to the provincial budget and the income of workers is modest, not commensurate with its potential and strengths.
By 2020, Quang Binh will continue to boost advertising and promote investment in fields which are potentials and strengths of the province such as tourism, services, production of clean agricultural products, agriculture-forestry-fishery processing, renewable energy production and manufacturing industry,... In particular, the province will actively support foreign investors who are studying and surveying to plan investment projects in the province.
