At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Tan introduced the potential and strengths of Quang Tri province. With its geographical location, potential economy, and a system of 2 deep-water seaports and 2 airports that have been and are being invested in, Quang Tri has all the conditions to become a trade and logistics center of the country and the region.

With a total natural area of ​​12,700km 2 , a coastline of nearly 200km, along with many natural resources, minerals, the top FSC forest area in the country, favorable climate conditions, Quang Tri has a lot of potential to develop a variety of different economic sectors. In addition, with favorable natural wonders, such as: Phong Nha-Ke Bang cave system, Son Doong, beautiful beaches, high-class golf courses and many historical relics associated with memories of war and aspirations for peace ... is a favorite destination of many tourists.

With a population of 1.8 million people (labor force accounts for 48.8%), along with policies to attract talent and train workers, investors can be completely assured of a workforce ready to meet the recruitment needs of businesses.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Tan said that based on the needs and development orientation of the province and the role and importance of the VKBIA Association, Quang Tri province proposed to tighten the cooperative relationship and support for mutual benefits between the province and the association through signing a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in promoting trade and investment.

Speaking at the meeting, VKBIA Chairman Tran Hai Linh expressed his pleasure at welcoming the delegation of Vietnam in general and Quang Tri province in particular to Goyang city. He said that Goyang is a city with economic strengths in tourism, services, flower industry and technology. This place is famous for the largest international Goyang Flower Festival in Korea, and is a bustling commercial center thanks to its location near the capital Seoul.

According to the Chairman of the VKBIA Association, this working session is an opportunity for the association to demonstrate its role in the process of connecting local cooperation and promoting trade investment and quality human resources; Vietnamese and Korean localities and enterprises will continue to implement effective cooperation contents in the coming time.

At the end of the working session, representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Quang Tri and the VKBIA Association signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in promoting trade and investment.

Also on September 17, leaders of Quang Tri province had a working session with representatives of Hanwha Energy Company.
