On October 29, in Dong Hoi ward, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province and VNPT Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement on digital transformation for the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2035. The agreement aims to mobilize the strengths of the two sides to synchronously deploy 4 pillars including digital infrastructure, digital government, digital economy and digital society.

According to the agreement, VNPT will invest in upgrading fixed broadband and 4G/5G mobile networks, data centers and cloud computing infrastructure, ensuring safe and smooth connections.

The two sides will coordinate to build a Smart Operating Center, a shared data warehouse, specialized databases and apply artificial intelligence, analyzing big data in management and operation.

In the field of digital economy, VNPT supports local businesses in converting processes, e-commerce, cashless payments, tourism and digital agriculture. In the pillar of digital society, the program focuses on smart education, digital healthcare, digital citizen services and digital skills training for the community, taking people as the center of service.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province Tran Phong said that digital transformation is an inevitable requirement to make a breakthrough, expecting VNPT to long-term accompany in building digital infrastructure, digital government, digital economy and digital society.

Mr. To Dung Thai - Chairman of the Board of Members of VNPT Group proposed that after the signing ceremony, a general management team should be established to support the government and the people.

VNPT will mobilize resources, technology and human resources to implement key projects to develop digital transformation in the area.

Within the framework of the signing ceremony, VNPT donated 1 billion VND to support social security in the area.

The cooperation agreement is expected to create a foundation for the goal of Quang Tri digital, contributing to building a model of creative government, developed economy, happy society, and people to enjoy.

Departments and branches will coordinate with VNPT to develop a list of projects, roadmaps and effectivity measurement targets, ensuring progress and information security throughout the 2025-2030 period, towards the goals of 2035.
