Call for investment in Central region
According to Mr. Le Huu Quang Huy, Director of the Investment Promotion Centre for Central region under the Foreign Investment Department (Ministry of Planning and Investment), the list of 87 investment projects in Central region (from Quang Binh province to Binh Thuan province) will be announced in March with total investment of more than US$24 billion.
In which, there are 55 projects in the field of infrastructure construction. The localities will announce the list of over 500 projects in the fields calling for investment together with preferential policies and investment conditions.
In the first two months of 2008, 14 investment projects were issued investment licence in the Central region with total registered investment of US$1.23 billion, increasing by 18% compared with the same period last year, said Mr Huy.
