Provincial People's Committee: listen report on Vung Chua eco-tourism area

(Quang Binh Website) - In the afternoon of December 30 2008, the Provincial People’s Committee held a meeting to listen the report on the Vung Chua eco-tourism area. Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phan Lam Phuong presided over the meeting. Attending the meeting were vice-chairmen of the Provincial People’s Committee and representative of related departments and branches.

The Vung Chua eco-tourism area is situated in Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, invested by the Phong Nha Limited Company and designed by the Consultant Company of the Construction University. Under the master plan, the Vung Chua eco-tourism area has an area of 126 hectares with the total invested capital of VND295 billion. The Vung Chua eco-tourism area meets the four stars standards, including villas along the riversides, hotel and sport area, public area, restaurant... Once to be operational, the Vung Chua eco-tourism area will contribute to the provincial socio-economic development, providing jobs for 400-1,000 laborers, attracting investment and tourists, improving infrastructure and service. It is expected that the Vung Chua eco-tourism area will be begun construction in September 2009 and completed the first phase in 2011.

Giving a closing speech, Chairman Phan Lam Phuong applauded the Phong Nha Limited Company in responding the province’s policy on investment and construction of the Vung Chua eco-tourism area and promised that the province will create favorable conditions to help investors complete the necessary procedures according to the regulations to implement the project as soon as possible. He asked Quang Dong commune to survey the site for resettlement area for households in the project area. The Vung Chua eco-tourism area is a convalescent area, so its architecture must be suitable for landscapes of locality...
