15 royal decrees presented to archives department

Pham Van Khoi, a ninth generation member of the Pham family in Trung hamlet, Vo Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province, presented 15 royal conferment decrees to the Vietnam State Records Management and Archives Department.

A ceremony to receive the decrees was held in Quang Binh province on November 22 by the State Records Management and Archives Department and the provincial Department of Home Affairs.

The royal decrees were bestowed by Kings Minh Mang, Trieu Tri, Tu Duc, and Khai Dinh, under the Nguyen dynasty, to Pham Sy, a military mandarin who earned them for protecting the country.

Addressing the ceremony, Director of the State Records Management and Archives, Vu Thi Minh Huong, appreciated Pham Van Khoi and the Pham family’s contributions to the preservation and conservation of the country’s valuable treasures.

On the occasion, Pham Van Khoi was awarded a certificate of merit ‘For the Cause of Records and Archives’.
