Provincial People’s Committee had a working session with the Midland Construction Corporation

(Quang Binh Website) – On December 3, the Provincial People’s Committee had a working session with the Midland Construction Corporation (Cosevco) and its affiliated companies under the Corporation. Attending the working was Mr Nguyen Huu Hoai, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; representatives of the Provincial People’s Committee Secretariat and leaders of related departments and branches.

At the working, representative of the Corporation briefly informed of the production and business situation of its five affiliated units. Accordingly, a total production value of the units in 2010 is estimated to reach VND1,596 billion, and that of 2011 is expected to reach VND1,720 billion; in the 2011-2015 period, the growth rate strives to reach 15 – 20% a year. Especially, Song Gianh cement product has generally affirmed its trade name in the market of the Central and Central Highlands regions.

In order to complete its targets in the coming time, the Corporation suggested the Provincial People’s Committee to submit to Prime Minister on the guarantee of foreign loans so that the Corporation carries out the Song Gianh Cement Factory Project for second phase. Besides, the Provincial People’s Committee needs to create favorable conditions for the Song Gianh Cosevco Cement Company to hire land to ensure traffic safety for merchandise exchange; supplement source of capital for dredging Gianh River and support environmental treatment for the Thanh Truong Cement Factory…

Addressing the working, Chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai highly valued the efforts made by affiliated units and the Midland Construction Corporation in the past time. Regarding the Song Gianh Cement Factory Project for second phase, Chairman Hoai asked the Corporation to submit a specific document to the Provincial People’s Committee for approval before reporting to Prime Minister. Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee assigned related agencies to consider and deal with the mentioned difficulties according to the province’s policies.
