Hanoi to host Vietnam Heritage Day
Vietnam will hold its 7th Heritage Day in Hanoi on November 21-23. Themed the north central heritage-culture-tourism week, the event will feature provinces, including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue and Hanoi city.
The participants will present traditional music and dances, folk games, traditional handicrafts and calligraphy from their localities.
In addition, Vietnam Heritage Day will highlight Hue gastronomy, specialties from the north central provinces, a fair promoting tourism and culture of the participating provinces, and a seminar themed Youth and Cultural Heritage of Vietnam.
The event aims to kick off a series of tourism activities in 2012, connecting all the north central provinces to promote their culture and tourism to the rest of the country and foreign countries.
