A mid-term evaluation of the "Nature Conservation and Sustainable Management of Natural Resources in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Region" project
The PNKB NCSMNR project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through GIZ and KfW.
The overall objective of the project is to improve the nature conservation and sustainable management of natural resources and socio-economic development in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang region.
After three years of operation, the project has contributed to improving the management ability of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park and the living standards of the population in the project area; increasing awareness of local authorities and people of nature conservation and sustainable management of natural resources in Phong Nha - Ke Bang Region.
Addressing the working session, Vice Chairman highlighted the importance of the PNKB NCSMNR project to economic development of the province, especially local people living in the buffer-zone of the park. He also straightly put forwards shortcomings in the project implementation progress.
Vice Chairman said that the evaluation delegation should closely coordinate with relevant agencies and localities to find out solutions to effectively carry out nature conservation and sustainable management of natural resources in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Region and uphold the values of world natural heritage.
