VND2 billion supported for Quang Binh AO/Dioxin Victims' Association

(Quang Binh Website) - In order to mark the 65th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27), the Association of Veterans of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) on June 5 donated VND 2 billion to the Quang Binh Association of AO/Dioxin Victims and presented gifts to 12 martyrs' families.

Present at the ceremony were Mr. Tran Tien Dung, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee (PPC) and Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, Deputy General Director of PetroVietnam, chairman of the Veterans of PetroVietnam.

At the ceremony, representative of the Veterans of PetroVietnam donated VND 2 billion to build a boarding center for the AO/Dioxin Victims Association of Quang Binh province; presented 12 gifts worth VND120 million to 12 families of war invalids and martyrs. This was a significant activity of the Veterans of PetroVietnam for AO/Dioxin victims in Quang Binh province.

Delivering a speech at the ceremony, PPC Vice Chairman Tran Tien Dung thanked the PetroVietnam for assistance for Quang Binh province over the past time, especially social welfare and the support for AO/Dioxin victims and relatives of martyrs who have difficult circumstances.

Chairman of the Veterans of PetroVietnam presents gifts to martyrs' families

Vice Chairman expressed his desire that the PetroVietnam would continue take interest in social welfare and help poor people of Quang Binh province to overcome difficulties in their life.
