At the meeting, participants heard the report on situation of development and investment for tourism sector in the past time and the demand for tourism infrastructure development in the future; discussed investment preparation for Greater Mekong Subregion sustainable tourism development project II which is funded by the Asian Development Bank.

After hearing the report presented by a representative of the Management Board of Greater Mekong Subregion sustainable tourism development project, Quang Binh province has agreed to propose 10 investment projects for sustainable tourism development in Quang Binh province, including upgrading tourism route in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park from Km 0 to the crossroads of Tra Ang bridge (with a total length of about 10km and an investment capital of VND70 billion); a stopping point for travellers on the route 12 through Cha Lo International Border Gate in Ve Stream, Hoa Tien commune (with an area of 5ha and an investment capital of VND60 billion); upgrading tourism route from Ba Trai - Tho Loc to Ho Chi Minh road (towards Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park) with a length of 15km and an investment capital of VND70 billion; building the community-based tourism route of Bru - Van Kieu minority ethnic group in Truong Son commune; building historical - cultural tourism route and adventurous tourism from Quan Hau ferry to Long Dai ferry, Than Dinh mountain, Tam Lu waterfall in Truong Son commune; tourism road from Hong Thuy commune to Le Thuy tourism area with a length of 12km; tourism road in the east of Nhat Le riverside, Dong Hoi city with a length of 3km; propaganda for local tourist products and training program to improve the ability and tourist skills for local people and community enterprises.
