Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Tien Dung stressed the festival was an opportunity for tourists, locals and businesses to enjoy the imposing scenery of the park and get an insight in the province’s historical and cultural values.

At the opening ceremony, the Provincial People’s Committee also announced diverse activities such as the launch of new tourist destinations, promotions and tourist discounts and farm trips. Within the framework of the festival, food and handicraft fairs will be held in Son Trach commune in Bo Trach district and in Bao Ninh commune in Dong Hoi city from July 15-19.

On this occasion, Quang Binh also called upon scientists, international organizations, businesses to continue to sharing experience in the conservation and promotion of heritage values; press agencies at home and abroad to promote popularization and market linkages helping Phong Nha - Ke Bang become an attractive tourist destination, contributing to promoting the provine's socio - economic development.
