The province's socio-economic situation in October has seen a stable growth in all fields. In agriculture, localities have harvested summer-autumn crop; the production of rice, maize and peanuts is equivalent compared to that of the same period last year. At pressent, the province is focusing on winter-spring crop for 2016 on seasonal schedule. The breeding has developed stably; total herd of cattle and poultry is higher than the same period last year. The production of fishery in October reached 4,971 tons. The industrial production has remained a growth of 9.0%; total retail sales of consumer goods were estimated to reach VND1,335 billion, rose by 9.8%. Capital construction has actively deployed such as construction of the Provincial Cultural Centre, opening traffic for National Highway expansion project running through Quang Binh province. Many changes have also been seen in culture, sport, information and communications and so on.

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stressed that in November, departments and localities need to focus on reviewing specific targets and tasks to take drastic measures to fulfill them; direct to well prepare conditions for winter-spring crop; implement policies to support fishermen for newly building their vessels.

Besides, Vice Chairman also asked departments to focus on industrial production, creating conditions to speed up the progress of building key projects; accelerating the process of reimbursement of the projects; strengthening inspection and control of market price against smuggling, trade fraudulence and counterfeit goods while well implementing the campaign "Vietnamese give a priority to use Vietnamese goods".
