The VND45 billion project will be carried out from 2018-2020 with total investment of VND45 billion.

The project has a total area of 3.5 ha, including commemorative house, exhibition area, auxiliary buildings.

Commemorative house of General Vo Nguyen Giap in Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province

The architecture of the General Vo Nguyen Giap Memorial Site is designed in the traditional Vietnamese style, ensuring a harmonious space with the village.

The local authorities said that construction of the commemorative area of late General Vo Nguyen Giap is to meet the increasing demands of the people and international tourists for visiting and offering incense in memory of the General in his hometown.

This will be also an address to learn about the life, career and great contributions of the legendary General.

Besides, the construction will contribute to to the completion of the tourism triangle of spiritual culture in Le Thuy district, including the tombs of Mandarin Nguyen Huu Canh, Hoang Phu pagoda and Commemorative house of General Vo Nguyen Giap.

At present, the General's commemorative house is located in the banks of Kien Giang River. This three-room wooden house was associated with the General's childhood and was erected in the early 20th century and burnt by the French invaders in 1947. In 1977, the house was restored by the General's family and the local authority on its old ground.
