Quang Binh Provincial People’s Committee had a meeting with ACV to hear the report of exploitation and development plan of Dong Hoi airport.

Dong Hoi airport is a domestic airport used for both civil and military purposes. According to the project approved by the Ministry of Transport, by 2030, the airtport capacity will reach 3 million passengers per year. In order to meet the development requirements, ACV will deploy an investment project to build a passenger terminal with the designed capacity and scale of 3 million passengers per year, the total investment of over VND 1,220 billion. ACV will also expand 8 more parking locations, increasing the total of aircraft parking positions up to 12 ones with the total investment of nearly VND 300 billion. In addition, a parallel taxiway and connecting taxiways will be built with the total investment of about VND 800 billion. The total investment of items is about 2,320 billion VND.

ACV expects Quang Binh Provincial People’s Committee will agree and support in the process of project construction of site clearance for defence land area and temporary goods warehouses.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People’s Committee informed that the province approved ACV’s policy and will have a flexible mechanism of handling procedures to support it to implement this project.

Dong Hoi airport is located in Loc Ninh commune in Dong Hoi city in Quang Binh province with an area of nearly 4,300 m2. This is a civil airport combined with military flying activity at level 4C. Its current capacity is designed for about 500,000 passengers per year.
