French scholarship granted to outstanding students
The recipients were from 34 universities and general education schools.
The Meeting Vietnam organisation, initiated by Prof. Tran Thanh Van, an overseas Vietnamese in France, and French professor Odon Vallet set up the Vallet Scholarship Fund to encourage Vietnamese young talents.
Since 1997, the Vallet Scholarship Fund has presented 1,567 scholarship, worth more than 2 billion VND, to Quang Binh Province and 360 scholarships, worth 558 million VND, to Quang Tri and Ha Tinh provinces.
Over the recent years, Meeting Vietnam organisation also provided nearly 5.2 billion VND to build facilities for schools in Quang Binh Province.
The Meeting Vietnam organisation together with the organisation for Support of Vietnamese Children of Prof. Le Kim Ngoc also granted more than 17.6 billion VND to build the Dong Hoi SOS village.
