Granting Study Encouragement Scholarship – "VNPT for Vietnamese Talents" to Quang Binh pupils

(Quang Binh Website) - On October 19 morning, at the meeting hall of the Provincial People's Committee, the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) in cooperation with the Study Encouragement Association of Quang Binh province held a scholarship-awarding ceremony of "VNPT for Vietnamese Talents" to good pupils at provincial level.

Attending the ceremony was Mr. Mai Xuan Thu, Chief of the Provincial Board of Public Relations; Mr. Phan Hoang Duc, Deputy Director of VNPT; Mr. Truong Cong Minh, Director of Quang Binh VNPT; leading representatives of related departments, agencies, units and localities together with outstanding but poor pupils in the province.

Scholarship-awarding ceremony of "VNPT for Vietnamese Talents" 2009

The study encouragement scholarship named “VNPT for Vietnamese Talents”, a large-sized program of VNPT, has been operated from 2006. It aims to support pupils and students who living and studying in the remote, mountainous areas, island or natural disaster affected areas which in the difficult finance situation or disable status but still have outstanding leaning results.

At the ceremony, VNPT granted 100 scholarships, worth VND1million for each, to 100 outstanding but poor pupils in the whole province and 1 scholarship, worth VND5 million, to Quang Binh University entrance exam laureate in the academic year of 2009-2010. This is a meaningful activity of VNPT to help disadvantaged but outstanding pupils overcome difficulties and reach their dreams.
