Workshop on inception report of urban environment and climate change adaptation project

Overview of workshop |
The proposed project will construct and upgrade the infrastructure facilities to improve urban environmental conditions in two cities of Dong Hoi (Quang Binh province), Hoi An (Quang Nam province).
In Dong Hoi, the proposed project will focus Bao Ninh peninsula, including storm water and wastewater management (treatment, wastewater reuse and sludge treatment and disposal); flood and erosion management covering structural and non-structural measures; urban roads, land development and capacity building; and develop Bao Ninh peninsula as a eco-tourist zone.

Delivering an opening speech at the workshop, PPC Nguyen Huu Hoai stressed the importance of the project in development of urban environment and climate change adaptation in the coastal provinces in general and Quang Binh in particular. He also expressed the province’s commitments to investment cooperation with the relevant parties to effectively carry out the project as scheduled plan.
