Quang Binh lures 12 foreign-owned investment projects

(Quang Binh Portal) – In 2014, the province attracted six 100% foreign-owned investment projects with a total registered capital of USD59.3 million, raising total foreign-owned investment projects up to 12 with a registered capital of USD107.37 million.

Of projects, some big projects have put into operation, including the Quang Binh Bohemia Kaolin washing plant invested by the group BGM Group, one of the largest Czech machine industry holdings with a total investment of USD35.1 million; the plant for waste classification and treatment with a total investment of 32.4 million Euro of Project Development Limited Company in Vietnam. According to the design, the plant will classify and handle about 300 tons of waste/ day for Dong Hoi city and its surroundings; produce biogas and electricity with a capacity of up to 1 MW.

Besides, some foreign investors are currently conducting investment surveys to plan the projects such as the project of construction of an oil pipeline system from Hon La Seaport (Quang Binh, Vietnam) to Khammounae province (Laos), invested by Lao Petro Limited Company with an investment of USD200 million and the project of Le Thuy deep-water port invested by INNARA Fund of the Czech Republic.

In order to achieve this result, over the past time, the province has strengthened foreign investment promotion, organized many conference on direct investment promotion with foreign enterprises, make a strong breakthrough in business registration procedures and creat a sound investment climate.
