Besides, the sector will also focus on developing advantaged industrial fields such as building material production, agro-forestry and fishery processing, brewage and garment; building brand name for some main industrial products; encouraging and supporting enterprises for investment in environmentally friendly technologies to create “green” products. It also associates the province’s industrial development with Hon La Economic Zone, Cha Lo Border Gate Economic Zone and other economic zones in the Central key economic region such as Vung Ang and Chan May, aiming at creating the premise for development of the fields, including: mechanics, electricity and electronics, information technology, sea transportation, building material production, agro-forestry and fishery processing and other industries, meeting the demand for development.

In addition, the sector also pays attention to building technical infrastructures, especially system of electricity, traffic roads, water and waste treatment in industrial parks, economic zones, industrial and agricultural clusters and concentrated handicraft villages; moving industrial production establishments, which have the risk of environmental pollution or the effect to landscapes in residential areas and urban areas to the industrial parks or agricultural clusters.

In order to continue improving investment and business climate together with the enterprise community, in the coming time, the indsutry and trade sector will focus on speeding up and innovating investment promotion, considering as its key task to increase the growth for industry and trade development of the province.

Especially, the sector will attaches a special importance to carry out big projects, making a breakthrough in the province’s economic development such as Quang Trach II thermo-electric project, MDF wood processing, the project of Petro-invested oil pineline system to Laos, Vincom project, Big C and so on.

Otherwise, the sector also continues solving difficulties for enterprise and having the policies to encourage organizations and individuals in using products which are made in the province such as cement, beer, fertilizer, new medicine…; effectively implementing the plan for administrative reform of Quang Binh province in the period of 2011-2020 with a focus on strengthening the simplification of administrative procedures in the fields of industry and trade, creating favorable conditions for citizens, organizations and enterprises.
