Call upon non-governmental aids to help flood victims
The Tzu Chi Foundation is an international humanitarian organization and a non-governmental organization (NGO) with an international network of volunteers and employees. It is permitted to operate in Vietnam in the aspects of health, healthcare for the elderly and disadvantaged children and urgent aids.
Volunteers and employees of the Tzu Chi Foundation visited and granted gifts to 1,372 families who were heavily damaged in the last floods with a total money of VND970,700,000. Of which, each family with 1-3 mouths was given VND500,000; family with 4-6 mouths was VND800,000 and family with over 7 mouths was VND1 million.

Earlier, the Union of Friendship Organisations of Quang Binh province in collaboration with many missions, including the Union of Friendship Organisations of Hue City, has granted 100 gifts (worth VND500,000 and 10kg of rice for each) to residents in Tien Hoa commune (Tuyen Hoa district).
The ORPHAN-VOICE Organization (an US non-governmental organization providing spiritual, physical and emotional support to impoverished orphans, at-risk and specail needs children) presented 2 tons of rice to Chau Hoa commune, 1.5 tons of rice to the Thanh Thuy Primary School in Tien Hoa commune.
The Union of Friendship Organisations of Ha Noi City presented 50 gifts (worth VND400,000 and 10kg of rice for each) to Le Hoa commune (Tuyen Hoa district); VND4 million and 150 pairs of new shoes to the kindergarten of Le Hoa commune; 50 gifts (worth VND400,000 and some necessities to residents in Ngu Hoa commune (Tuyen Hoa district); VND3 million and 60 pairs of new shoes to the kindergarten of Ngu Hoa commune and VND2 million to the medical clinic of Ngu Hoa commune.
The Save The Children Organization and The Red Cross Organization granted relief gifts to 7 communes of Tuyen Hoa and Minh Hoa districts with a total value of over VND1.3 million.
