Industrial production index in first four months grew by 4.3%

(Quang Binh Portal) - According to information from the Department of Industry and Trade, industrial production index in the first four months of 2017 grew by 4.3% from the same period last year. Of industries, the mining went up to 5.2%; the processing and manufacturing rose by 3.6%; the water supply and waste and waster water disposal rose by 3.4%.

Besides, industrial production index of some main industrial sectors also gained some good results. Concretely, the clothing production sector rose by 14.5%; the wood processing and wooden products production up 12.6%; the other mining (building stone) up 4.5%; power production and distribution grew by 3.4%; food processing increased by 3.9%; water supply went up to 3.8%, etc.

In addition, some industrial products achieved a fair growth, including 1.0 million m3 of building stone, up 4.5%; 349 tons of frozen cuttle, down 19.6%; 6,649 tons of cassava, up 5.9%; 4.1 milion liters of bottled beer, up 0.8%; 2.9 million shirts, up 14.5%; 912.2 thousand tons of clinker, up 12.2%; 475.6 thousand tons of cement, up 1.0%; 256 million kwh of trade electricity, up 3.4% from the same period last year.
