At the meeting, the leader of the Mekong Institute gave a brief introduction on some operational fields of the unit. Accordingly, the Mekong Institute was established with the aim of serving activities related to the six Greater Mekong Sub-region countries, including Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and China (including two provinces of Yunnan and Guangxi) Through activities such as agriculture, trade, investment, tourism, infrastructure, environmental protection and human resource development, the Mekong Institute contributes to promoting, facilitating and supporting mutually beneficial economic cooperation among member countries.

Addressing at the meetings, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee was pleased to welcome the delegation.
