Quang Binh Participates in Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Program Between Vietnam and Northeastern Provinces of Thailand
(Quang Binh Portal) - The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DCST) reported that from March 28 to 31, 2025, a delegation from Quang Binh province took part in a program aiming at promoting investment, trade, and tourism between Vietnam and the northeastern provinces of Thailand. The initiative was spearheaded by the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen, Thailand, in collaboration with various partner organizations. The delegation comprised representatives from the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial People's Committee Office, as well as several tourism and trade enterprises.

The program featured a series of activities, including surveys of tourism, agriculture, and trade models, alongside meetings with businesses in Khon Kaen and Udon Thani provinces. On March 29, 2025, a gathering of local delegations and Vietnamese enterprises was held in Udon Thani province. The delegation also attended a seminar on investment, trade, and tourism promotion between Vietnam and Thailand’s northeastern provinces, as well as the 2025 Homeland Spring program, themed “Overseas Vietnamese Accompanying the Country in a New Era,” which took place in Khon Kaen on March 30, 2025.

During the seminar, the Quang Binh delegation showcased the province’s potential and competitive advantages in resources, outlining its socio-economic development strategies focusing on a green economy, rapid growth, and sustainability. Emphasis was placed on elevating tourism into a spearhead economic sector, with priority given to renewable energy, agriculture, and high-tech industries.

Quang Binh province has proactively prepared planning and policy frameworks, pledging to support and facilitate investors under the motto: “The success and development of enterprises is also the success and development of the province.” A promotional tourism film highlighting Quang Binh as a natural, attractive, and distinctive destination left a lasting impression, sparking keen interest among tourism businesses from Thailand’s northeastern provinces.

As part of the program, the delegation engaged with enterprises, businesspeople, and the Vietnamese community in Thailand to foster connections and promote Quang Binh tourism in the Thai market. Efforts were also made to develop tourism products tailored for Thai visitors to Quang Binh, alongside initiatives to boost trade, tourism, and investment attraction.
