Number of tourists to Quang Binh sharply increases

In the first six months of 2014, the number of tourists to Quang Binh has sharply increased with more than 1.8 million arrivals, up 144.5% compared to the same period last year.
In which, travel tourists reached 339.9, up 22.7%, international arrivals reached 27.500, up 40.4%. Revenues from tourism were estimated to reach over VND 792 billion, up 23% against the same period last year.
The favourite destinations are world natural heritage site Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap and ecotourism sites.
With the opening new routes and diversity of tourism products, such as exploration of Tu Lan cave and helicopter tourism, Quang Binh is expected to welcome three millions tourists in 2014.
