A grand requiem for heroes and martyrs on 20 Quyet Thang Road and Hang Tam Co

(Quang Binh Website) - On the occasion of the 67th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27) and the 64th anniversary of traditional day of volunteer youth (July 15), a grand requiem for heroes and martyrs on 20 Quyet Thang Road and Hang Tam Co (Eight-woman Cave) was held in Son Trach commune, Bo Trach district on July 11 morning.


Delegates offers incense at the requiem

The event was jointly organized by the Provincial People's Committee and the Commercial Joint-stock Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV).

The requiem was attended by Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tien Dung; Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIDV Tran Bac Ha and representatives of agencies and units together with the people and buddhists in the province.

Speaking at the grand requiem, Vice Chairman Tran Tien Dung highlighted that the requiem for heroes and martyrs on 20 Quyet Thang Road and Hang Tam Co (Eight-woman Cave) is an opportunity to review the glorious history of the nation and pay the tribute to heroic war martyrs who laid down their lives for the cause of the national liberation.


Letting out pigeons for peace and happiness

After the ceremonials for the requiem, participants released pigeons to pray for a peaceful world and happiness.

On this occasion, BIDV has announced to provide a support to restore Hoang Phuc Pagoda in Le Thuy district.

Also at the requiem, Hoa Binh Company also donated VND200 million to preserve historical sites in the region.
