Besides, the Management Board of EZs and functional agencies have speeded up investment promotion activities in the Hon La EZ through the forms of popularization such as brochures, the media, conferences on investment promotion, meeting with the investment promotion centers and businesses; assisted investors in implementing investment procedures as well as the process of building and putting the project into operation.

In addition, the related agencies and localities have seriously conducted main tasks and solutions to improve business environment with a focus on furthering administrative reform, creating favorable conditions for enterprises in investment and production activities.

Therefore, the Hon La EZ has so far attracted 43 projects with a total registered investment of approximately VND39,000 billion, of which 24 projects have been put into operation, and 5 FDI projects are being carried out with a total registered investment of US$426 million.

Particularly, some large-sized projects are preparing for construction such as the Quang Trach Electricity Center, the Hon La Port for second phase, the construction of a bonded warehouse and a oil pipeline system to Laos and some projects of foreign investors, etc.

Once being operational, the projects will contribute to creating stable jobs for local laborers, increasing source of income for the province, and making a driving force to attract investment in other fields and services.

However, the Hon La EZ has not yet attracted the large-sized projects with high technology; the efficiency in business and production activities has remaind low and has not matched the province's strength and potential, etc.

In the coming time, the Management Board of Hon La EZ aims to effectively implement the projects in the Hon La EZ, newly invest in construction of some key facilities for synchronizing infrastructure, contributing to bringing a faster development for the Hon La EZ and well implementing industrialization and modernization in the province.
