People discover rare pangolins in home garden, leg injured
Discovering a pangolin in a state of leg injury, people proactively reported and handed it over to functional agencies for rescue.

On July 1, information from the People's Committee of Khe Sanh commune (Quang Tri province) said that the unit had handed over a pangolin to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park for rescue.
Previously, on June 29, the People's Committee of Khe Sanh commune received a report from Ms. Ngo Thi Hoai Phuong (residing in Tan Xuyen village, Khe Sanh commune) about the discovery of a wild animal individual.
Through inspection, local authorities and the Forest Protection Department determined that this was a Java pangolin (scientific name Manis javanica), weighing more than 4 kg. This is an animal belonging to Group IB, a list of endangered, precious, and rare species that are prioritized for strict protection.
At the time of reception, this pangolin individual showed signs of exhaustion, little movement and was injured in the front right leg.
To ensure the ecological restoration of wildlife, the People's Committee of Khe Sanh commune has sent a document to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park requesting coordination in receiving and rescuing according to regulations.
At the same time, in order to manage strictly and in accordance with the law, the People's Committee of Khe Sanh commune issued a notice to find the owner or legal manager of the above animal individual.
Within 5 working days, if no organization or individual comes to prove legal ownership or determines that this is not exhibits of the case, the pangolin individual will be processed and released into nature according to regulations.
