Receiving and working with the delegation, on the side of Quang Binh province, there was Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Phan Lam Phuong and Director of departments and branches in the province.

At the talk, two sides reported on the situation of socio-economic development, national defense and security, work of building the Party, authority, Front and unions of each provinces and appreciated the obtained results in friendship cooperative relations between two sides, concurrently pointed out some restrictions in the progress of investment cooperation, namely: lack of combination in establishing the investment project of upgrading the road line No.18 of each sides; economic cooperation and development along the West-East Economic Corridor haven't been paid much attention.

Two sides also adopted the cooperative orientations between two provinces unanimously in the coming time. Accordingly, two sides agreed on strengthening exchanges to boost reliable political relation, surveying and establishing specific cooperative fields. In economic, trade and investment relations, two sides affirmed to focus on cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, transportation, urban building, financial cooperation; take full advantage of each provinces to promote joint-venture and association in order to create favorable conditions for commodity exchanges and tourism development; conduct to establish the projects of upgrading the road line No.18 to be convenient for traffic between two provinces, creating foundation to open Chut Mut-La Von Border Gate. Besides, two sides also came to agreement on boosting their cooperation in the fields of culture, education, tourism and sports.

"Obtained results in this official visit will be the basis to boost further friendship cooperative ties between two provinces", Mr. Kayson Khunlatsuvannavong said. He also invited Chairman of the provincial People's Committee to pay a working visit to Savannakhet province in order to continuously discuss about new cooperative orientations between two provinces in the future. Chairman Phan Lam Phuong expressed his thanks to the invitation and promised that he will pay an official visit to neighboring province.

Closing the talk, Chairman Phan Lam Phuong, on behalf of the provincial leader, thanked the top-ranking delegation of Savannakhet province for their visit to Quang Binh province and he hopes that comprehensive friendship cooperative relation between two provinces of Quang Binh and Savannakhet will be strengthened.

In this visit, the top-ranking delegation of Savannakhet province paid a visit to economic establishments and tourist sites in the province.
