Grant 1,000 gifts to people in flood-hit areas
(Quang Binh Website) - In order to help Quang Binh people to repair consequences caused by Storm No.9, on October 19, the Central Committee of Vietnamese Youth Union, the Charitable Board of the Vietnam Buddhism Association and the Sai Gon Commercial Bank (SCB) in cooperation with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Committee of Vietnamese Youth Union granted 1,000 gifts to damaged households in two districts of Le Thuy and Quang Ninh.
In Quang Ninh, the delegation presented 500 gifts to people in four communes of Duy Ninh, Tan Ninh, Ham Ninh and Gia Ninh. Each gift includes a box of instant noodles, 10kg of rice, 10 notebooks and VND200,000.
In Le Thuy, the delegation presented 500 gifts, worth VND350,000 for each to the people from 21/25 communes.
It was known that in this phase, the delegation will move to 10 provinces and cities across the country to present 12,000 gifts to localities which were damaged by Storm No.9.
