Provincial People's Committee had a working session with the exploration team from the British Cave Research Association

(Quang Binh Website) - On April 21, the Provincial People's Committee had a working session with the British Cave Research Association team to listen to the obtained results of the last survey in Phong Nha - Ke Bang area. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai received and worked with the exploration team.

From March 8 2010, the exploration team carried out a survey of the cavern system in the west of Ho Chi Minh road and Road No.12A belonging to the Phong Nha - Ke Bang national park, En grotto in Bo Trach district and other cavern systems in Minh Hoa district with the total length of 16km. As an acknowledged result, the exploration team discovered the deepest abyss in Quang Binh with the length of 331.4m and set up a detailed map of Son Doong cave.

Addressing the working, Chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai expressed his admiration to the results that the exploration team obtained in the past time and hoped that the team would continue to carry out the research activities in Quang Binh and provide the province with the images and figures about the cavern system as well as related documents in order to help the work of scientific research.
