Leaders cutting red ribbon to open Chau Hoa bridge

Attending the ceremony was Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong; Mr Luong Ngoc Binh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr Nguyen Huu Hoai, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of related departments, agencies and localities.

Chau Hoa bridge was started in January, 2009 and invested by the Department of Transport with a total investment capital of over VND 75 billion from the government bonds. The 309.7m long and 8m wide bridge is designed by the Quang Binh Construction Consultancy Joint-stock Company and executed by the Civil Engineering Construction Joint-stock Company No.525 and the Commercial and Construction Joint-stock Company No.343.

The inauguration of Chau Hoa bridge has a significant meaning to the socio-economic development for two communes of Chau Hoa and Tien Hoa and the communes along the Gianh river. This is also one of key projects selected to welcome the 15th Provincial Party Congress.

Addressing the ceremony, Chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai acknowledged and praised the effort of the units in overcoming all difficulties to accelerate the implementation progress of Chau Hoa bridge to mark the 35th anniversary of the liberation of the south and national reunification. Chairman Hoai affirmed that Chau Hoa Bridge will be one of strategic bridges to promote the socio-economic development in localities.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee granted the Certificate of Merit to four collectives and six individuals for their excellent achievements in the implementation of Chau Hoa Bridge. The Civil Engineering Construction Joint-stock Company No.525 awarded 80 scholarships, worth VND80 VND, to the Chau Hoa secondary school and Tien Hoa secondary school.
