The Overseas Vietnamese Community in Leipzig City (German Democratic Republic): donate EUR 8,750 to flood hit people
(Quang Binh Website) - On November 24 and 25, Mr Nguyen Thanh Hai, member of the Executive Committee of Vietnamese Overseas Association in Leipzig City (German Democratic Republic) and its surroundings paid a visit and granted gifts to flood hit people in Quang Binh with a total money of EUR8,750 (roughly VND240 million).
According to Mr Hai, this money had been raised by the Overseas Vietnamese Community in Leipzig City and its surroundings (EUR7,000) and Chemnitz City together with the Association of fellow-countrymen from Nghe An province living in Germany (EUR1,750). Each gift, worth VND300,000 was granted to 600 households in six communes of Van Hoa, Chau Hoa, Phong Hoa and Dong Hoa (Tuyen Hoa district); Son Trach and Hung Trach (Bo Trach district).
