Australian ambassador and Irish deputy ambassador visit Quang Binh

(Quang Binh Website) - On June 6, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai had a meeting and working session with Mr. Allaster Cox, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam.

On behalf of provincial leaders, PPC Chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai expressed his delight to the visiting and working of Australian ambassador to Quang Binh and highly appreciated friendly and cooperative relations between Australia and Vietnam in general, Australia and Quang Binh particular over the past time. He expressed his hope for the coming time, the ambassador would help Quang Binh province call upon Australian enterprises for investment in tourism, mineral mining and vocational training

Australian ambassador Allaster Cox thanked Quang Binh authorities and people for the hospitality and believed that for the coming time cooperation relations between the two parties would be closer, contributing to the social and economic development of the two Parties, countries and peoples.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presents a picture to deputy ambassador of Ireland

Also the same day, the provincial People's Committee held a talk with Mr Garvan McCann, deputy ambassador of Ireland.

At the talk, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Tuan briefly informed of natural condition, potentials, advantages and socio-economic achievements of the province over the past time and spoke highly the assistance of the Embassy of Ireland for poor communes of Tuyen Hoa and Minh Hoa districts.

In the future, he expressed his hope that cooperative relation between Ireland and Quang Binh will be expanded, contributing to developing the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and countries.

Deputy Ambassador of Ireland thanked Quang Binh provincial leaders for a warm reception and provided some information about the Irish aid programmes in Quang Binh and emphasizing that the Embassy of Ireland would create favorable condition for Quang Binh province to promote socio-economic development, especially poverty reduction in ethnic minority areas; provide stable jobs for the persons with disabilities and granted scholarships for civil-servants.
