At the reception, lieutenant colonel Wayne Turnbull said that his working visit's goal to Quang Binh this time was to learn about flood prevention and response to natural disasters to provide an effective support for Quang Binh province.
Lieutenant colonel Wayne Turnbull also informed of operations of the US Office of Defense Cooperation over the past time and expressed his hope to provide Quang Binh province with a support of the flood prevention capacity and sustainable infrastructure construction to make a safety shelters for local people in the flood season.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Vice Chairman Tran Tien Dung thanked the US Office of Defense Cooperation for assistance and highly valued investment in sustainable infrastructure construction to make safety shelters for the people in flood-hit areas.
It is known that the US Office of Defense Cooperation will carry out a field survey at some localities of the province on August 24-25.
