In Quang Binh province, the tribute-paying ceremony of General Vo Nguyen Giap was solemnly held at the conference hall of the People’s Committee of Quang Binh province.

Speaking at the tribute-paying ceremony, Secretary of the Quang Binh provincial Party’s Committee, Chairman of the People’s Council, Head of Steering Committee for General Vo Nguyen Giap’s funeral in Quang Binh Luong Ngoc Binh stressed that "Being a brilliant son of Quang Binh homeland, General Vo Nguyen Giap is a faithful communist, exemplary model and military genius, who had sacrificed his whole life for revolutionary career of the nation. The death of General Vo Nguyen Giap is a great loss to Vietnam’s Party, State, army and people nationwide in general and Quang Binh province in particular".

On behalf of the Funeral Committee and leaders of Quang Binh province, Secretary Luong Ngoc Binh officially declared the start of the tribute-paying ceremony of General Vo Nguyen Giap in Quang Binh province.

At 7:30 am, the delegation of the Quang Binh provincial Party’s Executive Committee led by Secretary Luong Ngoc Binh paid a tribute to the General.

Then, delegations of the Party Committee, High Command of Military Zone 4; Provincial People’s Council; People’s Committee; Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee; Ministry of Justice; Provincial Military Headquarter; Public Security; Headquarter of Border Guard; Loc Thuy commune; the former leaders of the province; provincial-level departments, branches and union; districts and cities; organizations and businesses and people paid farewell to the general.
