With Airbus A320 aircraft, Dong Hoi - HCM City routes debuted with one flight a day and three flights a week on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

Jetstar Pacific general director Le Hong Ha said the carrier will increase its fleet size to 10 airplanes before Tet - or Vietnam’s Lunar New Year - which falls on February 19.

The route aims to meet the increasing demand of travelers, especially on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year holidays which fall in mid-February. Low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific will launch five more domestic routes next year to meet the increasing travel demand and economic exchange between areas of the country.

So far, over 7,500 passengers have booked tickets on the air route between Dong Hoi - Ho Chi Minh City from 550,000 VND (26 USD) to 2.3 million VND (108 USD).
