Receive an USD49,988 grant from Give2Asia to improve the quality of life for Persons with Disabilities

Accordingly, the project will be carried out in communes of Duy Ninh, Ham Ninh and Hien Ninh, Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province.
The project has a total investment of USD107,865, equivalent to VND2,287 million, of which an USD49,988 grant, equivalent to VND1,060 million comes from Give2Asia and a corresponding capital worth USD57,877 equivalent to VND1,227 million comes from the Association for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (AFPD).
The goal of the project is to reduce the injuries of human beings and assets affected by climate change, aiming at ensuring livelihood and sustainable devleopment through building the capacity of community-based disaster risk management in localities.
Main activities of the project is to build the capacity for AEPD and trainers on community-based disaster risk management work; improve disaster risk assessments for households and set up the plan for disaster adaptation in community; open drills on disaster adaptation for vulnerable community and persons with disabilities in three communes of Duy Ninh, Ham Ninh and Hien Ninh; share experience on disaster risk management and so on.
Duration for the project is from January of 2015 to August of 2016 and is carried out by the Association for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
