Receiving and working with the delegation were Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai, representatives of the Department of Transport, the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appraised the working visit of the delegation and thanked WB for its assistance to the province. Chairman affirmed that the province always attaches special importance to development of transport infrastructure. With respect to the Road Asset Management Project, the province will assign the Department of Transport as an investor and pledge to make an effective use of the project.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Jose Luis Irigoyen, Director of the Transport and Information and Communications Technologies Global Practice of WB thanked for warm reception of the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee.

In order to ensure project quality, the province need to take an initiative in implementating the project, of which focusing on resources, especially resource of finance; consider adaptation to climate change and terrains while construction of rural roads and residential bridges in the province, he said.

In the atmosphere of open exchange, Chairman expressed his hope that the WB-funded project will help the province's rural transport have a new development, making a convenience for local people while transporting.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee invited the delegation to pay a visit to Phong Nha Cave, Thien Duong Cave and Son Doong Cave.
