Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai presided over the meeting. Attending the meeting was Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Quang, representative of the Department of Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, Management Board of Economic Zones and Office of the Provincial People's Committee.

Signing Memmorandum of Understanding on investment in biomass power project

At the meeting, Mr. Park Jun Hee, Vice Chairman of DOHWA Corporation provided some basic information on implementation of the biomass power project in the province.

Accordingly, DOHWA Corporation will survey to select project location (2016), conduct investment procedures (2017), build the biomass power plant (2018-2019) and be expected to integrate into the national grid in January of 2020.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee applauded invesment in biomass power project of DOHWA Corporation. He affirmed that this is a fresh thermoelectric project which doesn't cause environmental pollution and is under the project groups given to the province's investment incentives.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee asked DOHWA Corporation to survey and select project location to facilitate construction and operation of the plant.

Besides, he also urged related agencies and units in collaboration with DOHWA Corporation to survey location and plan a report to submit to the Prime Minister for approval.

On the side of the province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee committed that the province would create all favorable conditions for DOHWA Corporation to implement the project, contributing to bring Quang Binh to become a leading province in investment in the biomass power project.
