273 Vallet scholarships presented to outstanding students in Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Quang Tri

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai presents Vallet scholarship to outstanding students
In particular, Nguyen The Quynh, student of Vo Nguyen Giap High School for the Gifted, who won a gold medal at the 48th International Physics Olympiad in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, was commended and presented a scholarship worth VND13 million by professor Tran Thanh Van and professor Odon Vallet.
This is the 17th year, Vallet scholarship was presented to poor students with outstanding academic performance in the central provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Ha Tinh.
Since its establishment in 2001, the Vallet Scholarship Fund has offered 32,250 scholarships worth over VND175 billion (US$7.69 million) to Vietnamese students, supporting poor students nationwide to overcome their difficulties in study.
The fund was established by French Professor Odon Vallet from France’s Sorbonne University through Rencontres du Vietnam founded by the Vietnamese-French Professor Tran Thanh Van.
