In July and the first 7 months of 2021, thanks to drastic direction and synchronous implementation of the proposed tasks and solutions, the socio-economic situation in the province continued to maintain stability and achieve positive results. Production of the summer-autumn crop ensured according to the seasonal schedule at the end of July 30, 2021; the annual planting area reached 35,126 hectares, an increase of 2.6% compared to the previous year. Cattle breeding decreased due to the impact of epidemic of lumpy skin disease on buffaloes; African hog cholera appeared a new cluster; poultry production continued to increase thanks to well-controlled disease. The output of timber harvested from planted forests was 55,000m3, reached 260,000m3 in the fíirst 7 months of 2021, down 2.1% over the same period. Localities planted 3,521.9 hectares of forests, up 12% over the same period. Fishery output was estimated at 9,737 tons, down 2.3%, reached 52,119.5 tons in the first 7 months, up 5.8% over the same period.

The industrial production index increased by 5.9% in the first 7 months of 2021. Total retail sales of goods were estimated at VND 3,647 billion, up 1.6% over the previous month and 9.8% over the same period, reached VND 24,968 billion in the first 7 months, up 14.5% over the same period. The number of in-house guests was estimated at 4,500 arrivals, reached 541,970 arrivals in the first 7 months, down 62% over the same period. Total budget revenue in the first 7 months of the year was estimated at VND 3,933 billion, reached 72.45% of the local estimate, up 26.45% over the same period. Total investment capital from the budget was VND 505.04 billion, implemented more than VND 2,183.53 billion in the first 7 months, reached 37.1% of the plan. In the first 7 months of the year, 22 domestic projects were approved with a total investment of more than VND 298 billion.

The province has constantly paid attention to the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic, implemented them seriously and drastically and achieved positive results. As of the morning of August 5, 2021, the total number of positive Covid-19 cases was 46 (including 02 patients who were eligible for discharge). The total number of people quarantined in quarantine camps from the beginning of 2021 until now is 6,130 people. Currently, the number of citizens being quarantined is 1,685 people. 42,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been injected in the province. The fields of health, education and job creation have seen many positive changes. Social security work continues to receive attention, people's life is stable; political security, social order and safety in the area have been maintained, many social evils have been repelled...
At the meeting, the delegates discussed and evaluated the implementation of socio-economic development tasks; the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic over the past time; at the same time, they proposed tasks and solutions to overcome difficulties and effectively implement the "dual-task" in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman emphasized that in the past time the whole political system took drastic action to propose suitable measures to prevent and control the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic; simultaneously, ensure conditions for carrying out the task of socio-economic development. As a result, up to now, the province has been controlling the epidemic, serving well for the care and protection of people's health and economic development; maintaining the production and business of enterprises.

In order to continue to prevent and control the pandemic in the province in the most effective way, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee required the leaders of agencies and units, the Chairman of the People's Committees of the districts, towns and cities to focus on directing the strict implementation of documents of the General Secretary, the Government and the Prime Minister; announcements of conclusions of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on pandemic prevention and control; absolutely not be subjective, negligent, lose vigilance. In carrying out the assigned tasks, the priority focus is still implementing solutions to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic under the motto “the timely detection of cases, early zoning, rapid pandemic suppression and quarantine of all F1, F2 cases according to regulations”. The leaders of agencies, units and localities must take responsibility for the results of pandemic prevention and control; violations must be strictly handled according to regulations. Along with that, agencies, units and localities continue to monitor the situation of Quang Binh people in Ho Chi Minh City and pandemic-affected provinces to take measures to support and contribute to stabilizing their lives; focus on propagating and mobilizing people from epidemic-affected areas in Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces to strictly comply with the regulations on epidemic prevention and control of the Government and local authorities; review and strictly medical isolation for cases going to Quang Binh from other localities that are implementing social distancing according to Directive No.16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister.

On the other hand, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also noted that departments, branches and localities should focus on synchronously implementing solutions for socio-economic development in the remaining months of 2021, striving to achieve the goals set out in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic; in which, priority should be given to targets that are still low, urgent and important tasks affecting the local socio-economic development, issues affecting people and businesses for drastic direction…
