New Dong Hoi - Cam Ranh Air Route to Launch on August 16
According to Sun Phu Quoc Airways (SPA), a subsidiary of Sun Group, the airline will commence operations on the Dong Hoi - Cam Ranh and Dong Hoi - Hanoi routes from August 16. The services will be operated by Airbus A320/A321 aircraft with an average capacity of around 200 passengers per flight.

The Dong Hoi - Cam Ranh route will operate three round - trip flights per week on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The scheduled departure times are 12:05–13:25 for flights from Dong Hoi to Cam Ranh and 14:05 - 15:30 for flights from Cam Ranh to Dong Hoi.
The Dong Hoi–Hanoi route will operate one round-trip flight daily. Scheduled flight times are 10:20 - 11:25 for the Hanoi - Dong Hoi leg. Flights from Dong Hoi to Hanoi are scheduled from 12:05 - 13:10 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and from 16:15 - 17:20 on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
The launch of these routes is the result of sustained efforts to promote tourism, strengthen tourism cooperation, and develop new air services in Quang Tri. It has also been made possible through the support of Khanh Hoa Province, the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), and Sun Group’s ongoing investments in building a comprehensive tourism ecosystem and developing tourism projects and products in Quang Tri.

The new Dong Hoi - Cam Ranh route is expected to create additional opportunities for Quang Tri’s tourism sector to access high-spending visitor markets from southern provinces, particularly international tourists. Moreover, SPA’s integrated Hanoi - Dong Hoi - Cam Ranh air network will facilitate the flow of international visitors arriving via Hanoi to Quang Tri and other central provinces, while strengthening links with Khanh Hoa to develop distinctive tourism products centered on the Central Heritage Road - a diverse and multi - experience travel journey.

These developments mark some of the first preparatory activities for the National Tourism Year - Quang Tri 2027, supporting the province’s goal of becoming one of Vietnam’s leading tourism destinations in the years ahead.
